Description
Restored in the 80's and still showing very well despite some age-related flaws in the paint. Believed to be 50,742 original miles, with written statements from previous owners and mileage verified previous titles included. The car was stated to have 38,000 original miles when it was cosmetically restored in 1983. In 1997 the motor and transmission were overhauled, at 48,000 miles. The car has seen minimal use since, and runs and drives very well. Repainted in its original color of Falcon Grey, a very complex green-blue hue, a beautiful color. There is ZERO rust on this Olds, and the undercarriage is one of the best I've seen on a Pre-War car, the fidelity of the sheet metal stampings and seams are impressive. That alone speaks to the miles. Under my ownership, I have installed a new master cylinder, flushed the coolant, and performed a valve adjustment. A new exhaust from front to back was also installed. The car runs down the road nicely, makes good power, shifts great and brakes very well. The temp gauge is not working, but I have taken an infrared reading of the top radiator hose on a few occasions and it's always right around 170. All other gauges are working. The radio powers on but has no sound, and the glovebox door clock does not work. Lights, signals, and wipers all work correctly. A new wiring harness was installed when the car was restored. Under my ownership I have taken care of whatever problems I found, so the car should be ready to be enjoyed by the next owner with no hassles.
