Description
This 1965 Volkswagen Type 2 is a single-cab pickup finished in Taubenblau over salt-and-pepper cloth, and it is powered by a 1. 5-liter flat-four paired with a four-speed manual transaxle. Features include hinged bed sides, a steering lock mechanism, front disc brakes, and a rebuilt radio. The truck was refinished in its factory Taubenblau by West Coast Classic Restoration of Fullerton, California in 1998. Features include white bumpers with overriders, dual front windscreens, sliding side windows, and dual replacement side-view mirrors. The bed is furnished with wood runners and features hinged sides that fold down for loading, while top-hinged lower doors provide access to an under-bed storage compartment. Bubbling paint is noted on the tailgate, and the nose belly pan, bumper rubber guards, and ‘treasure chest’ latch have reportedly been replaced. Steel 14? wheels were refinished in white and gray VW-branded hubcaps are equipped at each corner. Front disc brakes are equipped along with a dual circuit master cylinder. The split bench seat was reupholstered in salt-and-pepper cloth by West Coast Classic Restoration.
