Description
This Land Rover Defender 90 Station Wagon is number 80 of 300 Limited Editions built for the US in 1997 and shows just 39k miles. 1997 was the first year to offer the increased-displacement 4. 0-liter V8, which is paired with a 4-speed automatic transmission here. These vehicles were reportedly the only Defenders that had the Willow Green paint, 6-piece diamond plating, and a full safari roof rack. The 90â?³ wheelbase offers improved breakover angles in comparison to the longer 110â?³ wheelbase models. The rear bumper has an integrated 2â?³ receiver and shows some signs of rust. The exhaust has been updated with an NRP cat-back stainless system. Diamond plating is found on the lower rocker panels and on top of the front fenders. The interior remains stock and features factory air conditioning. A JVC CD player with Bluetooth capability has been added along with four new speakers. Images in the gallery show some rust in the driverâ??s footwell with the mat removed. Seating for four is provided out back, with side mounted jump seats that can fold out of the way. Heavy duty rubber floor mats are found front and rear. 0L V8 has recently been serviced, as has the A/C system. The engine made 182 horsepower and 233 lb-ft of torque when new, and was cleaner burning than the 3. 9L that preceded it. A red battery cutoff switch is located at the driver-seat bulkhead and can be seen in the gallery. An aluminum skid plate helps protect the fuel tank.
