1960 Volkswagen Beetle Convertible

Work included replacing the chassis and 1. 2-liter flat-four, refinishing the bodywork in Paprika Red, installing a replacement black soft top, retrimming the interior in gray vinyl, and overhauling the brakes and electrical system. The car is equipped with a four-speed manual transaxle, four-wheel drum brakes, 15â?³ steel wheels, chrome bumpers, running boards, front bucket seats, and a cabin heater. The sheetmetal was stripped to bare metal and the rear apron was replaced before refinishing the bodywork in Paprika Red and mounting it on a replacement chassis. Additional exterior details include a replacement black soft top with a glass oval rear window, chrome bumpers and overriders, a driver-side mirror, a replacement windshield and weatherstripping, and dual exhaust outlets with polished finishers. The windshield washers are disconnected. The 15â?³ steel wheels are finished in red and gray with chrome VW-stamped hubcaps and are mounted with 165/80 Nankang CX-668 tires. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel drum brakes, and the brake hydraulic cylinders, drums, and shoes were replaced during the refurbishment. The front bucket seats and rear bench were retrimmed in gray vinyl with white piping complemented by color-coordinated door panels. Replacement black carpets line the floors and additional appointments include a cabin heater, crank windows, a passenger grab handle, and a locking glovebox.
