Description

Following its 15-year-long refresh, this Continental won its class at the Glenmoor Gathering Concours dâ??elegance and has seen 2,500 miles of use since. Many photos, documents, and records are available for mechanical, paint, chrome, and interior work, with an included receipt of $9k on the engine alone. Power comes from a 292ci flathead V12 mated to a 3-speed manual transmission with overdrive. The black paintwork appears to have been completed to a high standard. Ornate chrome bumpers and trim show well in photographs. The interior was re-done during the earlier refresh. No rips or tears are present in the fabric upholstery. Dash components appear intact and in restored condition. The odometer shows 2,524 miles and true mileage is unknown. Under hood, the 292ci flathead V12 engine is reportedly unmodified and produced 120 horsepower when new. The Lincoln Continental was the final mass-produced American car factory-equipped with a V12 engine. A copy of the original build sheet is included in addition to other restoration documents. It can be seen during normal business hours at the selling dealership.
