1966 Pontiac GTO Hardtop

The interior was reupholstered in black, and the 389ci V8 has reportedly been rebuilt. Additional equipment includes a TH400 three-speed automatic transmission, a black vinyl roof, power steering, 15â?³ Rally II wheels with chrome trim rings, a Hurst dual-gate shifter, and a cassette stereo. The body was removed from the frame and stripped to bare metal before being refinished in two-stage metallic pewter with black dual pinstripes. All body panels were removed from the car at this time and reinstalled after an initial test fit. The vinyl top was replaced, the stainless steel trim was polished, and new seals and weatherstripping were fitted. Features include a black vinyl roof as well as stacked headlights, a hood scoop, a driver-side mirror, GTO badging, tinted windows, and chrome trim on the grille, bumpers, window surrounds, and rocker panels. This was not due to any fault with the vehicle. The winnerâ??s participation on BaT has been restricted and their buyerâ??s fee was not refunded. The Rally II 15â?³ wheels were refinished during the refurbishment and feature chrome trim rings and 245/60 Cooper Cobra Radial G/T tires. The car is equipped with power steering, and stopping is provided by four-wheel drum brakes that were reportedly overhauled in 2015.
