Description

A refurbishment was performed in the late 1990s and included repainting the car in blue and fitting a replacement 847cc inline-four. Features include a three-speed manual gearbox, split windscreen, black upholstery, and body-color wire wheels. This MG has been shown at a number of events, including the Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance and Quail Motorsports Gathering. The M-Type was one of the first affordable sports cars to be offered from an established automobile company and was the first MG to bear the “Midget” moniker. It was repainted light blue in the 1990s, and details include vinyl-covered wood panels, a boat-tail rear end, black cycle fenders, and a split windscreen. Body-colored 19? wire wheels wear MG center caps and are mounted with Avon tube-type tires sized 4. 00S19. The chassis features semi-elliptic springs and Hartford friction disk shock absorbers with rigid front and rear axles. Braking is managed by cable-operated drums at each corner. The right-hand-drive cockpit is trimmed with black upholstery and features a bench seat, wood paneling, and MG-embossed door panels.
