The work included removal of the body from the frame, a repaint in black, and reupholstery of the interior in black leather as well as powder-coating the chassis. Aftermarket suspension components were installed along with a black convertible top, Wilwood disc brakes, a replacement carburetor, and modern audio components. Power is from a rebuilt replacement 327ci V8 mated to a four-speed manual transmission. The body was removed the from the frame prior to a repaint in black, and was fitted with a replacement black convertible top. Details include chrome front and rear bumpers, black side pipes, and four vertical vents per fender. Painted 15? Rally-style wheels feature chrome trim rings and hubcaps, and are mounted with Mastercraft Avenger GT tires. Work carried out during the build included installation of StrongArms control arms, RideTech suspension components, a rebuilt power steering gearbox, and Wilwood disc brakes with braided stainless steel hoses. The seats and dashboard were reupholstered in black leather, and the cockpit was fitted with replacement carpets and door panels. A retro-style stereo with Bluetooth feeds aftermarket door speakers as well as an amplifier, crossover, and subwoofer in a custom enclosure with fleur-de-lis embroidery behind the seats. Electrical repairs were carried out during the project.
