Modified 1965 Ford Mustang Fastback

The chassis number indicates that the car was built in October 1964 at the Los Angeles plant and left the factory with an A-code 289 V8 and 4-speed manual gearbox. Additional upgrades include Hotchkis suspension, Magnaflow exhaust, electronic choke and ignition, front disc brakes, and more. A recent service in March 2017 included a new radiator, rear main seal, RHS aluminum cylinder heads, and new crankshaft pulley. The car was repainted some time ago in its current shade of gold, and the LeMans stripes, Mustang pin stripe, and rocker panel stripes were clearcoated over. The hood is a GT350-style item, and the car also features front disc brakes, fog lights, sequential tail lights, and a dual exhaust. New alloys wear BFGoodrich G-Force Sport tires and replicate the factory steel wheels in a larger diameter. A walk-around video can be seen above. White crinkle vinyl with black appointments is the factory interior option as per the chassis tag codes. Bucket seats are believed original and present well. The folding rear seat is finished in matching white, and the optional floor console and round gauges are present. A Rally Pac tachometer/clock combo was added to the column, and a LeCarra steering wheel has been installed. A digital aftermarket radio was fitted without cutting the factory dash opening, and power windows are actuated by tilting the factory-style cranks. The odometer shows 56k miles but is not believed to reflect the true mileage. The 347ci stroker V8 is fitted with a 4 barrel carburetor and mated to a new Tremec 5-speed manual gearbox. A recent $5,150 service included new RHS aluminum cylinder heads, head gaskets, crankshaft pulley and seal, rear main seal, spark plugs, thermostat, radiator, harmonic balancer, clutch rod repair, and passenger door latch. The engine bay is painted in body color. Front power disc brakes were added and lift photos show the upgraded Hotchkis suspension, Magnaflow exhaust system, and the undercarriage in detail.
