Description
Pickands and moved to Florida in 1974, where it was last registered in 1978 and acquired from his family by the selling dealer in 2020. The car wears older black paint and a matching soft top over a red interior, and retains its numbers-matching 1,300cc twin-cam inline-four and four-speed manual transmission. Rust is noted in the floor pans, driverâ??s door, rocker panels, and wheel wells. The black paintwork is faded throughout, and two areas of previous damage repair are noted by the selling dealer. A 1978 Florida inspection sticker is affixed to the windshield, and service decals dated through 1968 can be seen in the driver-side door jamb. A Lucas driver-side mirror was installed by the original dealer. The black soft top has a yellowed plastic rear window and several patches. A replacement tonneau cover was purchased in 1962, and can be seen up close in the gallery along with its sales invoice. Steel wheels wear   factory hubcaps and replacement 15â?³ Michelin XAS FF radial tires that were installed by the selling dealer. A matching spare with older rubber is mounted behind the seats.
