Description
This 1970 Jaguar XKE is a Series II open two-seater that was built on February 12, 1970 and originally distributed in the US through British Leyland in New York. Finished in red over black leather, the car is powered by its numbers-matching 4. 2-liter DOHC inline-six and is equipped with a four-speed manual gearbox, black convertible top, black top boot, 15? knock-off wire wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, PerTronix electronic ignition, and a CD stereo. Service in June 2020 included rebuilding the starter motor, replacing the drive belts, and bleeding the clutch fluid. Originally finished in British Racing Green, the body was repainted red at an unknown point in the past. Chrome 15? knock-off wire wheels are wrapped in 205/70 General Altimax tires. The suspension was overhauled in 2012 by Empire Autohaus of Pelham, Alabama, with new ball joints, control arm bushings, and wheel bearings. The power-assisted disc brakes were also serviced and received new rotors, pads, and lines. A walk-around video can be watched above. The cabin is trimmed in black leather and features matching-color carpets and door panels, as well as a black dashboard.
