Description
This 1965 Ford Mustang was built in Dearborn, Michigan and began life as a six-cylinder fastback. The car is finished in Wimbledon White with Guardsman Blue stripes, and power comes from a 302ci V8 crate engine linked with a rebuilt four-speed manual transmission and limited-slip rear end. Previously finished in dark blue, the car was disassembled and mounted to a rotisserie for repairs and prep-work. The front and rear torque boxes were replaced, as were sections of the front subframe. The car was then fitted with a GT350-style lower front valance and hood and repainted in Wimbledon White with Guardsman Blue racing stripes. Matching vinyl GT350 graphics and stripes were applied to the rockers, and a period-style badge was also added to the rear fascia. Dunlop SP Sport tires measuring 205/70 are mounted to 15â?³ Cragar wheels. Braking is handled by a set of discs up front with stock drums at the rear. Suspension modifications include aftermarket front coil springs, a Monte Carlo bar, and Koni shocks at each corner. Black vinyl upholstery covers the front buckets and the rear fold-down bench.
