This 1962 Mercedes-Benz 190SL is a U. S. spec left-hand-drive car which recently finished a complete concours-level nut and bolt restoration by specialists Auto Classic Car Restoration. It retains its original numbers-matching chassis, body, 1. This car was originally finished in White with a White Grey convertible top over Red upholstery, and was repainted in its current dark grey during the restoration. The car was optioned with a 50-liter fuel tank from the factory, retains its correct date-stamped alloy wheels, and is complete with a full fitted luggage set. The restoration returned the car to its factory specification aside from the exterior color change with show quality detailing outside, inside, and underneath down to four new wide white wall tires. It was then purchased direct from the restoration shop by an Arizona collector of European and American cars after he visited the restoration shop and consulted with Mercedes experts in his search. The car sits on its four original wheels with a full-size fifth spare fitted in the trunkâ??all carry matching January 1962 date codes.
