1961 Ford E-Series Van Blue

61 Ford Econoline 5 Window Custom Cab Truck is perhaps one of the very best examples in the country. It was restored from the ground up with a painstaking level of detail and focus on originality. Very early production truck that rolled off the assembly line approximately the first week of December 1960. The truck was sold new at Palmer Ford in Chelsea Michigan and was the very first of the model to be sold at the dealership. The first owners used the truck to haul produce from their farm to the two roadside vegetable stands that they operated during the summer and in the winters it was stored indoors while they vacationed in Florida. The original gentleman owner died at the age of 90. In 1987 it reached a lady owner in Ann Arbor Michigan and in 1992 on Valentines Day, it reached the fanatical man who jumped into the restoration of the very low mileage original. This was a full frame off restoration that has garnered great attention and awards among the Ford truck scene.The truck still remains in impressive condition and is an excellent runner and driver showing only very minimal wear and age.
