Description
This Ford Roadster was reportedly commissioned by PPG and debuted at the 2007 Detroit Autorama. Power is supplied by a 347ci Ford V8 paired with a Bowler Performance Transmissions AOD-E automatic transmission. Additional features include suicide doors, an independent front suspension, coilovers at all four corners, a Currie Enterprises 9â?³ rear end, Wilwood brakes, Billet Specialties wheels, a custom leather interior, and a custom stereo system. The car is finished in PPG Sedona Bronze and Inca Gold and features custom pinstriping and graphics. The Wild Rod fiberglass body was modified by ProRides with reshaped wheel openings, a lengthened hood, and a custom windshield surround. It sits on a custom chassis that includes an independent front suspension and a Currie Enterprises 9â?³ rear end. The car was originally built using RideTech ShockWave air shocks and now features coilovers at all four corners. The selling dealer reports that the air tank and controls for the air suspension remain in place. 18â?³ front and 20â?³ rear Billet Specialities wheels wear BFGoodrich tires. The braking system features polished Wilwood calipers with slotted and cross-drilled rotors at all four corners.
