Description

This 1996 Porsche 911 Coupe has been built for PCA G-Class competition and is powered by a modified 3. 6 liter flat-six paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox. The car was sold new in Charlotte, North Carolina and registered as a corporate vehicle. He then spent over $10k preparing the car for the 2016 season with Porsche specialist Scott Spence of German Motor Werks in Asheville, North Carolina. The work included fluid changes, a brake bleed, new pads and rotors, fresh tires, rebuilds of the 3-piece CCW wheels, installation of Fabspeed 200-cell Sport Cats, and Schroth 6-point harnesses. The car comes with all receipts from the engine build and modifications dating back to 2005, service records for maintenance, PCA and NASA logbooks, and two additional sets of wheels and tires. It is currently titled and registered for the street in North Carolina. The Guards Red paint (L80K) appears glossy and presents well for a track car, with visible flaws limited to a few small chips and some wear on forward surfaces. Minor frontal damage from 2001 is reported on the Carfax, though the factory option code decal is intact under the front hood and the welds inside the front compartment appear original. In 2006, the rim from another car came in contact with the driver-side door in turn 10 at Sebring, leaving a doughnut shaped mark that was professionally repaired. A scratch on the hood has also been professionally repaired. An RS rear wing has been added. Podium finishes include a 2nd place at Roebling Road in 2005, 2nd place at Daytona in 2006, and a class win at Sebring in 2008. Additionally, the car logged a 2:13 lap time at Daytona. The car is equipped with Moton Club Sport suspension that features two-way adjustable coilovers with remote reservoirs. Three sets of wheels and tires come with the car, including the recently rebuilt 18â?³ 3-piece CCW Classics with newer Bridgestone RE-11s, 18â?³ Fikse wheels with Toyo R-888s, and 18â?³ BBS Porsche basket weave wheels with Toyo R-888s. Both sets of Toyo track tires were pre-heat cycled and have good tread life/cycles remaining. The rear wheel well lips were rolled to accept 295/30 semi-slicks. The floor carpets have been removed and Sparco Pro 2000 seats were installed. A two inch hole on the left bolster of the drivers-side seat cover can be seen above. The seats date from 2005 and are acceptable for HPDE track use, but will need replacement before any sanctioned racing. The stock steering wheel has been replaced with a MOMO racing item. Safety provisions include a full roll cage, Schroth 6-point harnesses, and a Halon fire suppression system. The car is also fitted with a hardwired transponder, AIM laptimer, I/O camera mount, and is wired for a Cool Suit and radio. The non-original 3. 6 liter flat-six was built and installed by Motor Werks Racing of Atlanta, Georgia in 2006. The motor has an aggressive cam and higher compression pistons, and has been dynoâ??d at 279. 96 horsepower with 254. 07 lb. ft. of torque. Power is distributed via a 6-speed manual and limited slip differential, and additional features include a lightweight flywheel, stainless steel brake lines, DuraCell Ultra Platinum AGM battery with kill switch, and a BMC filter with SuperCup housing. The undercarriage appears dry and clean with no visible corrosion on the frame, suspension, or engine components. A few scratches can be seen underneath on the front skid plate, but the underbody is in good condition overall. A 3â?³ thick folder includes all of the receipts for the race engine build and other modifications, maintenance receipts, PCA and NASA logbooks, and a CD with over 100 digital photos.
