Description
This 1971 Jaguar E-Type is a 2+2 model that was purchased new from British Motor Car Distributors, Inc. The car was subsequently part of a private collection until 2010, when it was acquired by a client of the selling dealer. Power is provided by a 5. 3-liter V12 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission, and mechanical work in 2010 and 2011 included replacement of the ignition components, radiator overflow tank, cooling system hoses, and more. Trim includes factory slim chrome bumpers and US-market lighting with sealed-beam lamps and side markers. Chrome 15â?³ wire wheels are mounted with earless knock-off nuts and wear 205/75 Hankook Optimo H724 tires. The 2+2 featured an extended roofline to clear its extra rear seats when compared to the standard coupe. The four-seat cabin is upholstered in black leather and equipped with a period AM/FM radio as well as an inoperative air conditioning system. A leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer, while gauges for voltage, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel level are located above late-model rocker switches in the center of the dash. Approximately 40k miles are shown on the five-digit odometer.
