Description
This 1960 Austin-Healey Bugeye Sprite was refurbished in 2015 with a repaint in white, a refresh of the red interior, and the installation of a 1,275cc inline-four that is paired with a ribcase four-speed gearbox. Subsequent work included installing an alternator and replacing the battery, exterior lights, and exhaust components. Features include a black soft top, 13â?³ Minator alloy wheels, front disc brakes, MkII-specification rear drums, a heater, a wood-rimmed steering wheel, and a wood shift knob. The car was refinished in its current shade of white in 2015 and is equipped with a replacement black soft top, a bright grille, chrome bumperettes, and a single exhaust outlet. Paintwork was performed on the right quarter panel after a dent was repaired in 2023. Noted flaws include blemishes on the rear Sprite badge, pitting on the front bumper and bonnet handle, a misaligned zipper for the tonneau cover, discoloration on the soft top window, and inoperative windscreen washers. Minator 13â?³ wheels are mounted with Kumho Solus tires, and braking is handled by front disc and MkII-specification rear drums. The front left tire is mounted backward. Interior appointments include a heater, a passenger-side grab handle, a wooden shift knob, lap belts, and door pockets. The wood-rimmed steering wheel frames Smiths instrumentation consisting of a 100-mph speedometer, a 6k-rpm tachometer, and gauges for fuel level, oil pressure, and water temperature.
