29K-Mile 1989 Porsche 928GT 5-Speed

This 1989 Porsche 928 GT is a Canadian model with just 46k kilometers (~29k miles) from new. The GT features higher compression than the S4, factory upgraded camshafts, and the same intake used on the later GTS. This 5-speed equipped example is unmodified from stock and was sold new by Porsche Downtown Fine Cars in Toronto on May 29, 1989. It is optioned with forged wheels, a limited slip differential, and a short ratio gearbox. The seller has owned the car for about a year and had a full timing belt service performed less than 1000 kilometers ago in 2015. It is sold with a clean Ontario title in the sellerâ??s name.The 928 GT can be visually distinguished from the S4 by its wider rear track and rolled fender lips for additional tire clearance. This example was optioned with forged wheels measuring 8Ã?16â?³ front and 9Ã?16â?³ rear (option code 393). Most of the paint is said to be original, though the seller had the rear quarter repainted to fix some scratches.The electric sunroof works as it should. The seller notes that the tool to actuate the sunroof manually is still with the car, though they have not needed to use it.The original owner had a car phone installed, which remains fitted to the center stack. The heated, power adjustable seats are in good condition (codes M139 for the left seat and M340 for the right), and the original radio remains fitted (option code I691). The shifter in the GT was shorter than that used in the S4.This Canadian market car has its original metric gauge cluster, which shows just under 46k kilometers.The cargo cover remains in good condition and badges do not appear to have suffered discoloration over time.Porsche Downtown Fine Cars of Toronto sold this 928 new, and stamped the service book while the car was still with its original owner. The seller had a major service performed by a local Porsche Certified mechanic in St. Catherines, Ontario when they purchased it in June of last year. Work included a full timing belt service with water pump, tensioners, idler rollers, gaskets, spark plugs, thermostat, plus all new fluids and filters.The underside remains in good condition with an intact aluminum undertray. The GT featured the M474 sport suspension package and M481 short ratio manual transmission. This example is also optioned with the M220 limited slip differential. Additionally, the GT had a lightweight dual outlet exhaust as seen above.This car retains its original spare, inflation kit, and aforementioned sunroof crank.
