Description

This 1963 Chevrolet Corvair Monza convertible is powered by a turbocharged 145ci flat-six paired with a four-speed manual transaxle and is finished in Saddle Tan over matching vinyl upholstery. Equipment includes a tan convertible soft top, a louvered rear decklid, 13â?³ steel wheels, four-wheel independent suspension, Pertronix electronic ignition, a retro-styled digital radio, and a heater. The battery, voltage regulator, and fuel lines were replaced in 2023 along with the wheel bearings and the front brake lines and wheel cylinders. With known history in Michigan and Florida, the car was acquired by the selling dealer in April 2024 and subsequently repainted. Rust repairs and body-panel replacements were carried out before a repaint in 2007, and the selling dealer reports another exterior repaint in preparation for the sale. Features include a replacement tan convertible soft top and a matching top boot in addition to quad T-3 headlights, dual side mirrors, and bright bumpers. Steel 13â?³ wheels with a mixed set of covers are mounted with 185/80 Hankook Radial H714 thin-whitewall tires that have 2008 production-date codes. The Corvairâ??s factory independent suspension utilized coil springs all around and swing axles at the rear, and it was rebuilt in 2006. IECO quick-steering arms and 1964-style finned brake drums were installed at that time, and the wheel bearings were replaced in 2023 along with the front hubs, brake lines, and wheel cylinders. The front bucket seats and the rear bench are upholstered in Saddle vinyl (705), and the door panels are trimmed to match.
