1955 Ford Fairlane Race Car

This race car was built approximately eight years ago and features a steel 1955 Ford Fairlane body over a lengthened Hooters Pro Cup racing chassis. The car was acquired by the selling dealer in 2019 and subsequently refurbished between July 2019 and September 2020, reportedly with rebuilds of the 358ci Roush Yates D3 V8 and Jerico four-speed manual transmission as well as body, chassis, and electrical work. This Fairlane was last on track at the VSCDA Fall Vintage Festival at Road America in September 2020 and is now offered in Wisconsin with a spare set of wheels and tires, recent service records, and a bill of sale. Steel bodywork sourced from a 1955 Ford Fairlane was widened before it was installed over a lengthened Hooters Pro Cup racing chassis in 2012. Bodywork and a repaint in Banner Blue and Snowshoe White, both 1955 Ford colors, were performed by Vetting Customs of Valders, Wisconsin in early 2020, before hand-painted lettering was applied by the Craig Schueffner of Falls Uptown Motors in Sheboygan Falls. Features include front and rear chrome bumpers, a steel rear spoiler, and plexiglass windows. The 15×10” Aero wheels are mounted with Goodyear Eagle Martinsville-spec left-side tires all around. An extra set of wheels and tires are included in the sale. The suspension features Penske shocks, while braking is handled by NASCAR-style four-wheel disc brakes with individual cooling fans and ducts.
