1972 Citroen SM Deluxe

Engine had a major service. Cylinder heads were removed to replace sodium filled exhaust valves. The heads were completely disassembled, inspected, and planed flat. Reassembly included new intake valve seals, all 12 followers were replaced, and stainless exhaust valves. The oil pump was rebuilt and rubber shim installed in crank for pump drive shaft. All timing chains were replaced with new IWIS chains, a nylon curved fixed limiter from MIE Corp was installed on the primary chain, and a new primary chain tensioner was installed. Cam timing was adjusted to compensate for the curved primary chain limiter. Additional new parts included head gaskets, timing cover and sump gaskets, intake o-rings, exhaust gaskets, water pump seal, etc.
