1969 Lotus Elan S4

An additional $65k in mechanical work was carried out from 2017 to 2019, during which the 1. 6L twin-cam inline-four was rebuilt and a sorting of the suspension and braking systems was performed. Maintenance in April 2019 included new spark plugs, repairing the tachometer, adjusting the carburetors, a brake fluid flush, and an oil change. The chrome trim and door handles were refinished, and a new brake light switch and taillight grounds were installed in 2017. Knock-off 13� Minilite wheels are wrapped in Kumho Solus TA11 tires sized 175/70. In 2018, The Boston Sportscar Company overhauled the suspension with new upper and lower control arms, tie rod ends, steering rack boots, sway bar end links and bushings, and ball joints. The brake calipers were also disassembled, cleaned, and painted before being fitted with new O-rings and seals. New brake hoses were installed along with a parking brake pad set, and the master cylinder was rebuilt. A brake fluid flush was performed in April 2019. The cockpit has been reupholstered in black vinyl with a matching upper dashboard.
