Description
The pairing of a 1930 Ford Model A "huckster" (the informal name for a custom wood-bodied wagon usually used to sell fruits and vegetables) with a FROGGY Ford-Esslinger 2.5L SOHC engine makes for one wild and unique ride. The gurus at Esslinger Engineering are probably best known for their beastly midget racing engines, and this street version announces that heritage (and its arrival) with authority! This potent mill, based on the Ford 2.3L Lima engine, is fortified with an Esslinger D-port aluminum head, a 2.5L stroker crankshaft, electronic fuel injection with 24 lb/hr injectors, electronic ignition, a beautiful long-tube header, and an aluminum radiator with electric fan and shroud. Additional features include rack and pinion steering, power front disc brakes, 5-speed manual transmission, tubular steel A-arms, coilover shocks, a beautiful low-restriction stainless steel exhaust system, stainless steel fuel tank, tilt steering column, Grant wheel, and cool spoked alloy wheels wrapped with wide whitewall tires (195/65R15 F, 245/65R17 R). The owner states that the gorgeous oak body is a restored original, and the craftsmanship of its dowel peg construction is amazing. This rowdy showstopper is just the ticket for the eclectic collector.
