1947 Cadillac Series 62 Convertible

This 1947 Cadillac Series 62 convertible has been refinished in red over a red interior and features a replacement 350ci V8 paired with a four-speed 700R4 automatic transmission and a Ford 9? rear end. Equipment includes a white power-operated convertible top, four-wheel disc brakes, dual exhausts, an aluminum radiator, rack-and-pinion power steering, later-model front and rear bucket seats, a center console, electric windows, Vintage Air climate control, and a push-button radio. Features include a white power-operated soft top, bright-finished stone guards, a dual exhaust system, and a bumper-mounted third brake light as well as a chrome-finished grille, side mirrors, trim, and bumpers. Chrome Cadillac covers are mounted on red-finished steel wheels that wear whitewall tires. The interior is fitted with later-model front and rear bucket seats trimmed in red leather with matching leather door panels and carpeting. A two-spoke steering wheel with a Brodie knob is mounted on a Flaming River steering column. The color-matched steel dashboard houses a 110-mph speedometer and auxiliary gauges measuring oil pressure, coolant temperature, voltage, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer indicates 73 miles, and actual chassis mileage is unknown. The original 346ci V8 has been succeeded by a 350ci V8 GM Performance crate engine installed during the refurbishment.
