Year:1965 Make:Porsche Model:356 Mileage:89972 1965 Porsche 356C CoupeVIN 222541Engine 717860Transmission 86451Here we have a Porsche 356C that left the factory in stunning Irish Green (paint code 6406) over black. It is one of the last 50 356C coupes to roll off the line in Stuttgart, even sharing the assembly floor with the new 911 model. As you can see, at some point it was changed to red with a tan interior, with the paint now showing its age. The good news is the original engine and transmission are still in the car, making it a matching numbers example in a rare color combination that is well worth any restoration effort. The car runs and drives well, and was just serviced including oil change, clutch adjustment, carb and engine tuning. It fires right up and settles to an idle without fuss. The car is not without flaws. There is a small dent under the driver's side headlight, and on the bumper in that corner. The paint is showing numerous cracks and flaws. The interior shows its age with a hole in the driver's side seat bolster. The underside is largely solid but there are some areas of rust to be addressed if the car is restored. Please look at all the photos carefully to get an idea of all of this. This would be a great car to drive and enjoy for a few years, then restore to its former glory and realize the true value of a numbers matching 356C in the rare shade of Irish Green. The 356C was the pinnacle of 356 evolution with disc brakes, and the best 356 driver available. This car has a clean title and is ready for export.I am an Early 911s and 356 Registry member with an eBay Feedback Rating of 100%, so bid with confidence.
