Description

The car was stored in various facilities from 1976 onward, most recently at Beverly Hill Motors, a Mercedes-Benz Restoration Specialty Shop, in Houston, Texas. It is finished in white with a black soft top over a red interior and fitted with a replacement 1. 9-liter inline-four mated to a four-speed manual gearbox. Body-colored 13 steel wheels wear chrome hub caps and beauty rings. Kumho tires are mounted at each corner and the front tires have reportedly been recently replaced. The cabin is upholstered in red vinyl with matching door panels and a brown dash pad, while the dash face is finished in body color and the floors are covered in black carpeting. Equipment includes a rear kinder seat and a period Motorola AM/FM radio. Instrumentation consists of a 140-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and gauges for oil pressure and fuel level. The five-digit odometer indicates 17k miles, with total mileage unknown. An ignition key is not available, though a door key is included in the sale along with the removed steering lock, turn signal switch, and horn ring.
