Description

This Ford-style roadster hot rod was custom built by Tri-C Engineering of Valencia, California in 2003 and 2004 and features a steel body mounted to a custom-built chassis. The car is finished in black over black, and power comes from a GM LS1 crate engine paired with a Richmond Gear six-speed manual transmission. Features include staggered-size Fikse forged wheels, Kugel front and rear independent suspension, adjustable front and rear coilovers, rack-and-pinion steering, four-wheel disc brakes, Burns stainless-steel tubular headers, a mandrel-bent dual exhaust system, billet hood hinges, a chrome-finished brass DuVall-style windshield, bomber-style bucket seats, a tilt steering column, Classic Instruments gauges, and a Custom Autosound AM/FM radio. The fenderless steel body is finished in black and has been modified to fit over the custom-built frame to achieve a lower ride height. Other work carried out by Tri-C Engineering included raising the rear wheel openings, chopping the grille, and fabricating a custom hood panel that uses billet hinges. Additional features include a chrome-finished brass DuVall-style split windshield, a Monza-style fuel-filler cap, chrome side mirrors, polished dual exhaust outlets, and LED taillights. Staggered-size Fikse FM-5 forged wheels are mounted with Pirelli P Zero Rosso tires measuring 205/50-17 at the front and 255/55-18 in the rear. Braking is handled by four-wheel discs with Wilwood calipers up front and finned inboard units out back. Kugel front and rear independent suspension features bright-finished control arms and adjustable coilovers. The cabin features bomber-style bucket seats trimmed in black with matching door panels and gray German square-weave carpeting.
