1986 Lotus Esprit Silver

Low mileage Esprit in all around superb original condition. This car was just purchased out of a Pennsylvania car collection where it was only sparingly used in the last few years. The condition of this original car is breathtaking. It is finished in one of the prettiest color schemes we've seen for this model. The paintwork on this car is quite superb. We keep rechecking it to remind ourselves it's still the original factory paint. It's almost too good...There is hardly a mark or a chip on the car. It's just in the near perfect original condition you can imagine for a 32-year-old Supercar of the 1980's. The interior trim shares the same story here. Original and beautiful. The factory bright red leather is in excellent condition with comfortable original seats, door panels, carpets, console, top dash pad - all in near mint original condition. Only the sun visors could possibly need a re-glue. The engine bay and underside are nice and clean, as one would expect from a well-taken-care-of, low mileage car. Mechanically the car is excellent. It starts easily on the key with good oil pressure and no smoke or noises, revs nicely. Driving the car is crisp and tight with great road manners, great clutch, gearbox, and brakes. We have just rebuilt the waste gate, including a new spring, diaphragm, and gaskets. The turbo system operates as designed, with plenty of boost. Overall, a superbly well-preserved original Esprit Turbo in a rare and fantastic color scheme. This collector quality gem is a wise investment going forward.
