Description
Finished in blue over gray upholstery, the car is powered by a replacement 845cc inline-four mated to a four-speed manual transaxle. Additional equipment includes a Solex carburetor, silver-finished 15â?³ steel wheels, driving lamps, and a tonneau cover. Developed by Renault during World War II, the 4CV was introduced in 1947 with monocoque construction and became the first French car to sell over one million units. The body is finished in blue, and the bumpers have been removed. Further exterior details include driving lamps, dual side mirrors, a shortened windscreen, a louvered deck lid, and a single exhaust outlet. A gray tonneau cover is included in the sale. Silver-finished 15â?³ steel wheels are mounted with 145-width Firestone F-560 tires. The car rides on an independent suspension, and stopping power is provided by four-wheel drum brakes. The cabin houses a pair of low-back bucket seats trimmed in gray vinyl upholstery that extends to the dashboard. The gray carpets are covered with black rubber floor linings, and a rearview mirror along with a driverâ??s map pocket are equipped.
