Description

This 1984 GMC K3500 left the factory as a cab-chassis, and it was outfitted as a firetruck by Pierrville Fire Trucks Ltd. of Québec, Canada. It reportedly served as an airport firetruck at the Big Muddy Ranch Airport in Oregon prior to its acquisition by the selling dealer. Power is from a 454ci V8 linked with a four-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case, and the truck is equipped with automatic-locking front hubs, a dually rear axle, 15 wheels, aluminum checker-plate cladding, emergency lighting, and cab clearance lights. The firefighting apparatus has a water pump, a hose reel, spotlights, and storage as well as pump- and reservoir-related instrumentation and controls. The cab and the Pierrville firefighting apparatus are finished in red with aluminum checker-plate cladding and gold brush-painted accents. Equipment includes emergency lighting, running boards, cab clearance lights, tow hooks, and towing mirrors. The firefighting apparatus is equipped with a water pump, a reservoir, a hose reel, nozzles, and related controls and instrumentation as well as left-side and right-side storage compartments. The sale does not include a water cannon. The 16 wheels are mounted with Wildcat tires.
