1958 Chevrolet Impala

1958 Chevrolet Impala Convertible for sale, needs completion. Car was sand blasted. All rust removed and repaired, a lot of the work was done on a rotisserie, body work, paint. The 348 engine was totally rebuilt, board, new pistons, heads were also done, all new bearings (mains-rods-cam bearings replaced. New cam, lifters, timing chain & gears. Frame was also blasted, and powder coated along with lots of other parts. The car now has a 350 Posi traction third member in it with a 3 speed on the column, has new clutch-pressure plate-throw out bearing. The car is about 90% complete, does not have the exhaust pipes from the manifold-muffler-tail pipes, hangers etc. and fuel line to fuel pump. The 3 carbs will still have to be re-built and placed on the original intake manifold, there is a new set of progressive linkage and a new set of fuel lines from the pump to all 3 carbs. The distributor will need new points-condenser-rotor cap and wires. All the interior is in boxes along with door panels-seat covers-carpet-top and boot, there are 2 sets of door inserts 1 new and 1 used both are the red insert. The bumpers along with park lights, taillights and other items have all been re-chromed, some of the stainless has been polished but other Pieces still need to be. The suspension front and rear have all been gone through with new bushings etc. All new Delco shocks, brakes, wheel cylinders have been rebuilt with a new master cylinder. 6 new BFGoodrich 800 X 14 4 ply tires, 4 of the original wheels were blasted and painted 2 still need to be. Car comes with a new continental kit and so much more, wonder bar radio, fader switch for rear speaker, new rear antennas, the original hub caps, the paint is Roi Red as the trim tag indicates. New windshield, date coded side glass, side view door mirrors. The car also comes with the original fuel tank, but I was intending to replace it with a new one & straps. It also comes with the original radiator that was dipped and pressure tested and shroud / fan.
