Description
Power is supplied by a 425A 389ci V8 equipped with triple Rochester carburetors paired with a four-speed manual transmission, and the car features factory power windows, steering, and brakes. The gearbox was overhauled with a Centerforce clutch and throwout bearing, and additional equipment includes an aftermarket audio system, a Hurst shifter, air conditioning, a power-operated convertible top, and more. Originally finished in Shelltone Ivory, the car received a repaint in Coronado Red by Palmer Customs in Camarillo, California. The eight-bolt 14â?³ wheels have been refinished and wear 225/75 Coker white wall tires installed in 2015. The interior was reupholstered in Red and Burgundy leather with matching carpeting and features polished stainless steel trim on the dash along with a Hurst shifter and replacement instrument panel cushion. The air conditioning system was overhauled and converted to run R134a refrigerant, and power seats rails were added. An aftermarket stereo with Sirius radio, an iPod input, and an amplifier was added, and the new head unit is mounted in the glove box. Instrumentation includes a horizontal Safeguard speedometer with a five-digit odometer showing 1,500 miles, though true mileage is unknown. A four-barrel carburetor was fitted from the factory, though a Tri-Power setup with three two-barrel Rochester 2G units has been installed. Mechanical work included installation of electronic ignition and replacement of the clutch, fuel tank, sending unit, fuel lines, electric boost pump, and more as outlined on receipts provided in the gallery.
