Description
This 2003 Acura NSX has just over 19k miles from new and is finished in Silverstone Metallic over black leather. The seller acquired this late model, fixed-headlight example in 2009 and is the second owner. The car is powered by a 3.2L VTEC V6 paired to a 6-speed manual transmission, and is mechanically stock apart from a Science of Speed short shifter kit and a later NSX shift knob. The most recent service was performed in August of this year and included a new timing belt, auxiliary belts, oil change, and a statement from the owner of the shop indicating that the car is in excellent condition. This NSX is cosmetically unmodified apart from a carbon fiber rear license plate surround and a light window tint installed by the previous owner, and is said to remain in very nice condition all around. The previous owner also fitted a 3M protective shield on the front bumper, which has done a good job of preventing scuffs and chips. The film has lifted slightly on the driver-side lower air duct and has accumulated a few grains of sand in an area less than half the size of a penny. The paintwork appears to be free of flaws, and benefits from a recent high-end detail at an NSX-specialty shop. The interior shows little wear with the steering wheel rim, door panels, and bolsters all in near-new condition. The weighted shift knob from is from a 2005 NSX and sits atop a Science of Speed short shift kit. The weighted knob used in the 2005 cars is regarded as the best factory knob of the series. A Smart Antenna Technologies box is fitted between the stock stereo and antenna, preventing the antenna from raising when the stereo is on but the AM/FM functions are not being used. The seller has provided pictures of the car with the roof panel fitted and removed. The seals around the targa opening appear to be in very good shape, and do not show the compression marks often present around the latch points. The 3.2L VTEC V6 looks clean in its mid-mounted engine bay and made 290 horsepower when new. This car was serviced at Mechanics Direct in Lowell, Massachusetts, the sellerâ??s local NSX shop. The most recent service was performed in August of this year and included a new timing belt, auxilliary belts, battery, and an oil change. The invoice for the recent service is included, which included a new timing belt, drive belts, and valve cover gaskets. The seller had a few bolt-on modifications removed during this service, including re-fitting a stock exhaust and the stock steering wheel with airbag.A statement from the owner of Mechanics Direct is included and shown above, noting that the car is in excellent mechanical and cosmetic condition. The aluminum suspension components on NSXs often show light corrosion even on low-mileage examples, though the suspension on this car looks very clean. The sale includes the original ownerâ??s manual, user guides, and maintenance booklet.
