Description

During the refurbishment, the vehicle was refinished in red and ivory over a refreshed red interior, and the 265ci V8 was rebuilt. Other equipment includes a three-speed manual transmission, dual four-barrel carburetors, a tan soft top, 15? steel wheels with covers, and a Wonder Bar radio. Service in 2013 included reconditioning the front suspension, adjusting the steering box, setting the ignition timing, and replacing the fuel pump, heater hoses, battery, and front wheel cylinders. The tan convertible top, paintwork, and exterior trim are shown up close in the gallery. Body-matching 15? steel wheels wear spinner-style covers and are mounted with 205/75 Coker Classic whitewall tires. The suspension and brakes were overhauled during the 2000 refurbishment, and in 2013 the steering box was adjusted, the front wheel cylinders were replaced, and the front suspension components were removed for reconditioning by Affordable Classics Restorations & Sales of Torrance, California. The red interior was redone circa 2000 with replacement seat foam, carpeting, door panels, and upholstery with waffle-patterned inserts. The Wonder Bar radio was rebuilt at that time, and the car was delivered new with an emergency-brake warning light. A three-spoke steering wheel sits ahead of instrumentation that includes a 140-mph speedometer paired with a central cluster with a tachometer, clock, and auxiliary gauges. The 265ci Turbo-Fire V8 with dual-quad carburetors was rated for 225 horsepower and 270 lb-ft of torque when new.
