Description
This 1979 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am was refurbished and modified between 2017 and 2020 before being acquired by the selling dealer in January 2021. The car is finished in black with silver graphics over black cloth and is powered by a replacement 5. 7-liter LS1 V8 paired with a four-speed 4L65 automatic transmission. Additional modifications include a Detroit Speed Engineering front coilover suspension and rear mini-tub kit, aftermarket 18? snowflake-style wheels, tubular Doug’s headers, an aluminum radiator, Detroit Speed Engineering fuel tank, Dakota Digital instrumentation, a Vintage Air system, and a custom center console with a Pioneer touchscreen stereo. A March 2020 service consisted of flushing the brake fluid, changing the engine oil, and replacing the front brake rotors, pads, wheel bearings, and seals. Aftermarket 18? snowflake-style wheels are mounted on BFGoodrich gForce Rival tires measuring 245/40 up front and 335/30 out back. Braking is handled by power-assisted four-wheel discs, and the suspension has been modified with a Detroit Speed Engineering “Speed 2” front suspension kit with coilovers and a rear mini-tub with shocks and springs. A March 2020 service included a brake fluid flush as well as replacement of the front brake rotors, pads, wheel bearings, and seals. The cockpit features seats trimmed in black cloth with a matching dashboard, door panels, and carpets. Features include electric windows, power steering, a Vintage Air air conditioning and heating system, custom door panel speaker enclosures, trunk-mounted amplifiers, and a modified later-model Camaro center console that features cup holders and a Pioneer touchscreen stereo.
