The car received a body-off repaint in gray as well as rebuilds of the 3. 8-liter inline-six and Borg-Warner three-speed automatic transmission. Other work included braking and suspension system overhauls, refinishing the wheels and interior woodwork, and replacing the headliner. The car has been sitting for approximately 19 years and will require further work before use, including the installation of the interior. Bodywork by R&A Engineering of Manchester, Michigan, began in 1999 and included removing the body from the chassis and stripping it before performing a repaint in gray. The brightwork was re-chromed in 2001. Body-color 16? steel wheels are wrapped in Michelin tires purchased from Coker Tire in November 1998. Replaced braking components include the hoses, pads, and front discs. The brake cylinders were re-sleeved in stainless steel, and the suspension bushings have been replaced. The headliner on the interior roof and sunroof has been replaced, and the wood trim was refinished by Classic Veneers in the UK.
