1971 DeTomaso Pantera

The car is finished in a yellow and black scheme over black leather, and power is provided by a 351ci V8 paired with a five-speed ZF manual transaxle. Work since 2016 included installing a Pertronix ignition system, as well as a new timing chain, clutch, tires, suspension components, and more. The Pantera was designed by Tom Tjaarda, then working at Ghia, and features steel monocoque construction. The car is equipped with Pre-L split chrome bumpers and a quad-outlet exhaust with slash-cut tips. The factory 15� Campagnolo wheels have been detailed and were fitted with BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires. The braking system also received new pads and soft lines, and the brake master cylinder and power booster were rebuilt. The cabin is upholstered in black leather and is equipped with a vertically-mounted radio, air conditioning, and a gated shifter for the five-speed manual transaxle. A MOMO Prototipo steering wheel with a DeTomaso horn button fronts Veglia instrumentation, including a 200-mph speedometer and an 8k-rpm tachometer, with four auxiliary gauges oriented vertically in the center stack. The mid-mounted 351ci Cleveland V8 is paired with a five-speed ZF manual transaxle. The engine and transaxle were removed and both the driveline and bay were detailed prior to re-installation.
