Description
This 1960 Austin-Healey 3000 MkI has been in the same family for 57 years and has been driven 26k miles. Finished in Old English White over red with white piping, the car is powered by an unmodified 2. 9L inline-six paired to a 4-speed manual transmission. Original retained equipment included dual HD6 SU carburetors and hydraulic Girling front disc brakes. A letter from the BMIHT is included showing the model designation, specs, and the chassis/VIN number. Some imperfections are shown in the gallery. The original soft top, side curtains, and hard top are included, and all show minimal wear. This BT7 was optioned with Girling hydraulic front disc front brakes from the factory and rear drums. Four new radial tires were mounted on freshly powder coated wheels. The original wheels with bias-ply tires are included. The red interior with white piping shows well with some creasing visible on the seats. Some small tears are present on the rear seats and the carpets are worn under the floormats. The odometer shows 26k miles and is believed accurate. The boot contains the original Dunlop racing spare, tonneau cover with its pouch, and a factory tool kit. The 2. 9-liter engine is stock and includes the â??Thermo Chokeâ? third carburetor that is used when the engine is cold. In 2015 it was brought out from storage and recommissioned with a new clutch master cylinder, slave cylinder, belts, hoses, water pump, spark plugs, and a valve cover gasket. At that time the brakes were also refreshed with new calipers, hoses, shoes, pads, and a brake master cylinder. The original brake parts are available. The original purchase agreement, bill of sale, and records covering the car from new are included.
