1961 Volkswagen Type 2 Double Cab Transporter

This 1961 Volkswagen Transporter is a Dove Blue pickup featuring a double cab with three doors, folding bed sides, and a soft top frame. Power is from a replacement 1,600cc flat-four paired with a four-speed manual transaxle, and a tune-up and other service were conducted by Competition Engineering of Phoenix, Arizona in preparation for the sale. The bed features fold-down sides, a floor protected with wood strips, and bolt-in hoops joined with wood slats to support a soft top. No top is included in the sale. Features include a split windshield with fixed panes, three doors, sliding and pop-out windows, white bumpers with overriders, and bullet turn signals. White 15â?³ steel wheels feature grey hubcaps and 205/75 Triumph tires at all four corners. The cabin is trimmed in tan vinyl and includes lap belts for two occupants on the front bench seat. The body-colored steel dash features a clock on the right and a VDO speedometer in front of the driver, with its five-digit odometer showing 94k miles. A box mounted to the ceiling supplies fresh air from vents above the windshield. The rear of the cabin contains a bench seat accessed via a single door on the right, and a steel bulkhead divides the front and rear compartments.
