1939 Ford Deluxe Coupe

Subsequent refurbishment work by the Cotati Speed Shop of Santa Rosa California, was completed the following year. The car is finished in red over cream leather upholstery, and power comes from a 350ci Chevrolet ZZ4 V8 paired with a four-speed 700R4 automatic transmission and a 12-bolt Posi-traction rear end. Additional modifications include a Mustang II front suspension, Bilstein shocks, power-assisted steering and front disc brakes, a B&M adjustable lock-up torque converter, Flowmaster mufflers, an aluminum radiator, Vintage Air air conditioning, power windows, and an Alpine stereo. A July 2020 service included the installation of a new speedometer, a window adjustment, and an oil change. The front and rear bumpers have been deleted, and features include H4 headlights with 1940 Ford chrome trim, body-color door handles and side trim, rubber-coated running boards, a power antenna, LED taillights, a third-brake light, and purple, blue, and orange pinstriping. Body-color, staggered-width 15? steel wheels wear chrome Ford hubcaps and trim rings, and they are mounted with 185/60 front and 235/60 rear BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires. A power-assisted rack-and-pinion steering system is fitted, and stopping power is provided by front disc and rear drums with a Wilwood master cylinder. The cabin features a power-adjustable driver’s seat and a manually adjustable passenger seat trimmed in cream leather, with a matching rear bench, dashboard, center console, door panels, and headliner. Amenities include power single-piece windows, a Vintage Air HVAC system, a Lokar shifter, billet control knobs and door handles, a remote trunk latch, two-speed windshield wipers, and an Alpine stereo. An adjustment of the passenger-side window was performed in July 2020.
