Description

This 1936 Ford Model 68 Convertible Sedan is finished in Washington Blue over a brown vinyl interior, and power is provided by a 350ci Chevrolet V8 mated to a five-speed manual transmission. Highlights over the past five years include the replacement drivetrain and a refurbished electrical system, along with new brake, axle, and suspension components, a reupholstered interior, and exterior changes. Exterior features include red shoulder-line pinstripes, Lincoln taillights on shortened stalks, pickup headlight stands, and yellow-lens fog lamps, along with a flip-top gas cap, chrome turndown tailpipes, and a custom license plate mount in place of the spare tire bracket. The rear chrome bumper is from a 1936 Ford pickup, and both bumpers feature red stripes and red powder-coated back sides. The vacuum-operated wiper motor has been rebuilt, and the wiper arms are removed but included in the sale. The chassis features a Super Bell dropped front axle with a split wishbone and a Hot Rod Works rear axle conversion, along with drum brakes all around and Pro Shocks SM-Series chrome shock absorbers at the rear. The interior is trimmed in brown vinyl with light brown carpets and equipped with lap belts and a rearview mirror clock. Controls include a Yankee 960 turn signal switch and a floor-mounted shifter with a Tel-Tru thermometer shift knob. A Custom Autosound audio system is mounted beneath the passenger seat and connected to an FM radio antenna mounted on the backseat tray, a satellite radio antenna beneath the cowl, and a satellite radio dock with auxiliary power source in the glove box. There is no horn, and the heater was removed but is included in the sale.
