Description
The vehicle is finished in gray with a gray soft top over gray upholstery, and U. S. Navy lettering adorns various body panels. Power is supplied by a 134ci L-head inline-four paired with a three-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case. Features include 16â?³ steel wheels, a nine-slot grille, a fold-down windshield, manual windshield wipers, a side-exit exhaust system, a rear-mounted jerrycan, a side-mounted shovel and ax, occupant-retention straps, and a keyed ignition. Commissioned by the United States government in October 1941, the Ford GPW was built to help meet demand for the newly introduced Willys MB military vehicle. This GPW has been repainted in gray and bears black stencil graphics referencing the U. S. Navy. A canvas top with two bows has been fitted along with a shovel, an ax, a jerrycan, and grab handles.
