Description
This 1995 Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe was sold new to an Air Force pilot in Florida who kept the car until 2010. This early 993 has a build date of February 1994 and is equipped with OBD 1 diagnostics, an optional limited-slip differential, and automatic brake differential. The car had two minor accidents while in Florida, including a collision with an ATV on the front left fender in 2003 and a dent on right rear fender that occurred while backing out of a garage. Paintless dent removal was used on the rear fender at the time of the repaint, and the rear basket handle brake light and headlight washers were removed. In 2015, the driverâ??s door check was repaired along with some rust at the base of the windshield by Westchester Classic Cars in Danbury, Connecticut. The front bumper cover and windshield cowl were repainted at this time. Per a 1995 Porsche TSB, the windshield was sealed in place with the channel under the rubber trim filled. A front protection bar and Bergvill T-Light HID lights were also installed. An alignment (with kinematic toe and corner balancing) was performed in April 2014, and the the rear brake pads and sensors were replaced in May 2014. In April 2016 Sumitomo HTR Z3 tires were added to the 18â?³ Turbo Twist wheels, one of which shows curb rash. A new right rear wheel bearing was installed at Rennsport in Bedford Hills, New York in November 2016. Inside, the front seats have been redyed to repair some wear on the driverâ??s seat bolster. The car is optioned with 8-way power seats, cruise control, and sunroof. The passenger seat controller was replaced in April 2014. Replacement fans come with the car. A new bluetooth head unit and speakers have been installed, and the original head unit is included. The speedometer broke at 63,973 miles and was repaired within a month by a Porsche dealer according to records. Unfortunately, the new speedometer was not set at the existing chassis mileage so there is an odometer discrepancy. The gauge shows the current mileage to be 51,852, so it is believed that the car has traveled about 116k miles in total. The 3. 6-liter flat-six is paired to a 6-speed manual gearbox. A pre-purchase PPI leak-down test in 2013 showed that all the cylinders were in the range of 98-99%. The valve cover seals and the O2 sensor were replaced in 2015. The C/V joints and steering rack were rebuilt and a steering rack brace was installed in 2016. Other maintenance performed includes regular oil changes and some replacement switches. Filed under: 993
