Description

This 1975 Maserati Bora shows 53,785 miles and is powered by its original 4. 9-liter DOHC V8, which is paired to a ZF 5-speed manual gearbox. One of 275 4. According to included Maserati Classiche documents, it was built to US specifications in May 1975 and finished in Giallo (yellow) paint over Black Connolly leather. The Mantaggio E Finitura Venturra (End of Line Data Sheet) confirms the car was shipped to New York on June 6, 1975, while the Avviso Di Spedizione (Delivery Note) shows chassis #930 arriving at Spett. Le Maserati Automobiles Inc. of Los Angeles, California on July 5, 1975. The car has been maintained in largely stock specifications apart from the color changes, and the hydraulic system was serviced in 2016. This Bora is now offered by the selling dealer in Texas with recent service records and a clean Arizona title. In 1970, Maserati returned to the mid-engine concept it had considered in the 1960s, and in March of 1971 the all-new Bora debuted at Geneva. It featured an innovative chassis and a comfortable cabin with air conditioning. Citroen-based high-pressure hydraulics controlled the windows, pop-up headlights, adjustable seats, pedal box, and the ventilated disc brakes. The polished stainless steel top shows well, with much of the original rubber present throughout the body. The factory Campagnolo wheels retain their decals, while correct numbers are found stamped on the chassis and front-passenger bonnet gutter as well as an identification plaque at the base of the windshield. Original Sekurit glass remains with the exception of a replacement windshield. The seats were reupholstered in light grey leather at the same time as the repaint process, though the cabin has been kept mostly original otherwise. A Nardi wood steering wheel was installed a couple of years ago. The 4. 9-liter DOHC V8 produced 320 horsepower when new, providing the Bora with a 0 to 60 mph time of 6. 6 seconds and a top speed of over 160 mph. Records verify two significant mechanical services in 2014 and 2015 by Dino Motors in San Mateo, California, while an inspection and tune-up were recently preformed in spring 2017. The factory spare has been retained in its correct boot behind the engine, and the front luggage compartment houses an original jack and emergency accessories. Engine # AM107/11/49*930* is matching-numbers for this chassis as shown above. The Maserati Classiche documentation is also displayed in the gallery along with recent service records. Original delivery forms are also included.
