Description
This 1986 Volkswagen Vanagon is a Westfalia pop-top full camper that is powered by a replacement water-cooled 2. 2L flat-four paired with a four-speed manual transaxle. The van has been refinished in gold over a two-tone brown interior and features leather upholstery, air conditioning, power windows and locks, an aftermarket alarm system, and two LCD screens with Bluetooth. Camping equipment includes a kitchenette with a sink, stove, refrigerator, and cabinets along with a convertible rear bed, additional storage, and a canvas tent with a sleeping platform. Repairs to the nose and multiple other body panels were carried out prior a repaint and windshield replacement in 2013 by Almost Everything Autobody of Fremont, California. Equipment includes electrical, potable water, and gray water connections along with a rear-hinged pop top that was fitted with replacement tent canvas the same year. Eight-hole 16” alloy wheels were sourced from GoWesty in 2013 and are mounted with 215/60 Michelin Defender tires. Stopping power is provided by front disc and rear drum brakes that were upgraded with GoWesty components. The power steering pump was rebuilt in 2013 by German Motorwerks of Pacific Grove, California. An aftermarket oil pressure gauge is mounted under the dash.
