Description
1970 Pontiac Firebird with many engine upgrades, custom paint and custom interior. Body: Custom paint: 3 stage Barrett Jackson Cobalt Blue paint (has both flake and pearl in it). Custom painted black center stripe with a small silver stripe around it. It has been color sanded and buffed. Paint is bright and highly reflective (see pictures). I included multiple angles due to the fact that the paint reflects everything around. There are some minor scratches and cracks, but it still looks great. New ground effects kit. Functional formula hood and Trans Am fender vents. There isn't any rust or bubbled up spots on the car. There was minor rust above the rear wheel wells that was repaired with patch panels. New staggered Boss wheels, 18x8.5 front and 20x10 on the back with new Toyo tires. The car also has a raked stance. All lights tinted with halo headlights. There is a LED strip on the bottoms of the tail lights to ensure they are highly visible. I also have a Trans Am style hood if you'd like it, but it's not painted to match the car. Interior: Original seats with custom upholstery. All seats have a blue Firebird logo embroidered on the upper back rest. Custom stereo with 2-4.5 speakers in each front door and 6x9 in the rear. Sail panels and door handles have been covered with suede substitute to match seat inserts. Custom headliner to match seats. New carpet. New dash pad. New center console. Half wrapped/ half chrome steering wheel. New gauges (Speedo, tach, fuel, temp, oil pressure and voltage. Engine and drive train '73 Pontiac 455/468 .30 over on rebuild. Last year of the high horsepower engines. Upgraded internals. Comp Cams high duration cam. Nice Lopey idle. MSD 6AL box with matching distributor. Blue MSD 8 plug wires. Holly Ultra 750 carburetor. Rejetted to match the engine. All seals just replaced. Proper air cleaner and boots for the Formula hood. Remote oil filter housing with Trans and oil cooler. Dual Spal electric fans on a new 3-core aluminum radiator. Holley Red fuel pump and return style regulator. Complete Vintage Air Gen IV under hood AC system hooked up to original ducting and vents. New heater core and fan. Complete Edelbrock Performer aluminum heads with roller rockers. Ceramic coated Doug's Headers with 2" pipes to 3' collector. Custom dual 3" exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers that dump out behind the rear axles. Edelbrock Torquer 2 intake. Powermaster 140 amp alternator. Upgraded turbo 400 transmission controlled by a B&M Pro Matic 2 ratchet shifter that is custom installed on the stock center console. There is a smoked plexiglass plate below the shifter with blue lights below . Chrome brackets and pulleys. Suspension: Four wheel disc brakes. Hydrobooster, which adds significant braking power over the standard vacuum brake booster. Front and rear stabilizer bars. The rear has custom brackets to ensure they are strong and will hold. The Firebird frame is notorious for not holding the brackets without reinforcement. Three way adjustable drag shocks on all four corners. Completely renewed front suspension with new front springs, bushings, ball joints, tie rods etc. includes Hotchkis parts. 87 Trans Am rear end. The rear brackets were modified/ reversed to utilize the later model emergency brake. The car had too much torque and ripped the splines off the original axles so they have been upgraded to Moser Chromoly axles.
