Description
This 1979 Toyota Land Cruiser HJ45 is a right-hand drive long-wheelbase troop carrier that was imported from Australia and is equipped with a Trakka overlanding conversion, including a full-roof pop-top, dual diesel fuel tanks, a fresh water tank, and an oversize engine air intake. Power comes from a replacement 4. 0-liter 2H diesel inline-six driving all four wheels through a four-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes side-facing rear seats, 15? steel wheels, a full-size spare tire, and a bumper-mounted trailer hitch receiver. Equipment includes a pop-up camper top, an oversize fender-mounted engine air cleaner, black bumpers, and sliding side windows. The selling dealer participated in an overlanding trip from Texas to Colorado, photos of which are presented in the gallery. Wear and chipping is noted on the wheels. The fabric-covered front seats were sourced from a 40-series LX, while the floor covering, door panels, and rear side-facing bench seats are finished in gray. An aftermarket switch on the dashboard selects between the twin diesel tanks. The three-spoke steering wheel is located on the right side of the cabin and frames a 160 km/h speedometer along with gauges for oil pressure, fuel level, coolant temperature, and amperage.
