Description
This 1976 Cadillac Eldorado convertible was delivered new to Charles Dalgleish Cadillac of Detroit, Michigan, and it was purchased by one of the founders of the Meadow Brook Concours dâ??Elegance in 2001 with 340 miles on the odometer. Finished in Firethorn Metallic with a matching Dark Firethorn interior and a white convertible top, this Eldorado is equipped with a fuel-injected 500ci V8 paired with a TH425 three-speed automatic transmission. This Eldorado is finished in Firethorn Metallic (36) with a white convertible top (A), and it is one of 14,000 ninth-generation Eldorado convertibles produced for the 1976 model year. 15â?³ steel wheels with black-painted hubcaps are mounted with 235/75 Firestone FR721 whitewall tires. The shocks reportedly were replaced in 2019, and disc brakes are fitted at all four corners. Antique Dark Firethorn grain leather upholstery (712) is joined by matching carpeting, door panels, and dashboard and contrasted by woodgrain trim. Amenities include automatic climate control, cruise control, power windows and door locks, a factory AM/FM radio, and a power-adjustable split-folding front bench seat. A factory sticker providing information about the catalytic converter is retained on the driver-side sun visor. The fuel-injected 500ci V8 produced 190 horsepower and 360 lb-ft of torque when new; approximately 1,000 Eldorado convertibles were produced for the 1976 model year with factory electronic fuel injection. Maintenance performed in September 2019 included servicing the fuel injectors and changing the fluids.
