1976 BMW 2002 Available for sale is a restored 1976 BMW 2002. This rust free coupe has underwent an extensive restoration, with great attention to detail and quality. This was a no budget restoration with the best materials and unlimited time spend bringing this legendary German compact sports car to competition worthy status. Words wont due justice to the quality of this BMW's restoration! The market value assessment at the time of appraisal in 2017 was lower then the current market evaluation for this collector worthy condition, and is only going to accelerate due to the popularity and demand for this iconic automotive legend. The restoration began about 2 years ago with the accident and rust free body being stripped and gutted to bare metal, and painted in beautiful sliver metallic. The 80K mile engine was pulled, serviced and repainted as well. In addition, a Weber 40 carburetor was also added. This BMW is in excellent mechanical condition, with many newer components, like brake system, fuel system, and cooling system being rebuilt. The clutch is excellent. The interior was completely revamped with all new high quality materials. The dash was painstakingly wrapped with beautiful exposed stitching. The seats were rebuilt and wrapped in German blue vinyl with all new premium comfort foam. The headliner and door panels are all new, and German wool carpet installed in sections with tapered and stitched edges. The center console is also wrapped, and with a new stereo and speakers. The steering wheel is wrapped in leather too. The trunk and hood have both been treated to cross stitched custom insulation. The trunk was of course painted to silver at time of repaint, with all new carpet and insulation paneling. All tools and spare are present. All the trim and chrome shows nicely, with beautiful allow wheels on newer tires. All electronics are in order, all the gauges work as they should, and the windows operate smoothly. Great investment grade restored condition, with restoration cost well in access of asking price! Many receipts available.
